3.04.02 Deceased Patients-Morgue Transports  (Revised 10/2020)

OVERVIEW

Although rare, Amerimed will complete transport of deceased patients as requested by contracted facility.

SECTION A

Patient(s) should be placed in a body bag provided by the facility prior to leaving. Crews should verify the identity of the body prior to transport

Amerimed Transport ePCR should be completed.

Amerimed Communications/Customer Service should be contacted prior to reaching destination to ensure room for the patient and staff is ready to receive the patient.
