Rick Huskey
Regional Vice President of Operations – Southeast Region

Rick began his career in volunteer fire services, and after graduation from High School attended EMT school.  The EMT license led him to obtain his Paramedic Certification, and later his Bachelor of Science Degree in Management.  Early in his career he worked as an EMT/Paramedic and was Director of Operations for private companies, as well as national EMS organizations.

As his career progressed, he became the Vice President of one of the largest, multi-million-dollar private EMS companies in the Southeast, providing ground and air ambulance services, as well as Mobile Intensive Care Service, FEMA responses, and organ transplant and team transportation.  He was responsible for strategic direction, growth, and performance, as well as acquisitions/mergers and integration of purchased companies.

Rick is known for driving brand growth and maximizing operational excellence.  He was President and Owner of Emergency Medical Services, LLC where he held multiple companies within this corporate shell. With a vision, he grew several different EMS business models while increasing revenues tremendously. This company was eventually sold to an Atlanta based ambulance provider.

Rick brings his lifelong passion, experience, education, and understanding of EMS to enhance Amerimed’s mission and core values.
