Dixon serves as the President & CEO for Amerimed EMS and The President & CFO for HPC. Amerimed EMS has operated as a Georgia licensed ambulance service since 2011. Home Physician Care was created to provide care outside the walls of medical facilities in 2007. Home Physician Care is a pioneer in the Mobile Integrated Health industry.

Dixon started his EMS career at Winkenhofer Funeral Home and Ambulance Service, which served as the zoned “911” EMS provider in Cobb County, GA until 1992. Dixon was employed by Rural/Metro Corporation from the early 1990s until 2001. He served in several positions including Division General Manager for North Georgia, and ultimately, Chief Financial Officer for the Southern Emergency Services Group, covering 14 states.

In 2001, Dixon started Priority Emergency Medical Services, following his departure from Rural/Metro. Priority EMS provided ambulance service throughout Georgia under Dixon’s leadership until 2011.

Dixon has been involved with various ambulance services across the country since the 1980’s. He also served as Communications Officer, Regional Director of Communications, Regional Director of Administrative Services, and Regional Manager during his tenure with his former employers. Notably, Dixon implemented Fulton County’s newest EMS system that began in 1999. This system included many enhancements that resulted in a “high-performance” EMS system and set several standards for EMS in Georgia. Dixon’s experience provides insight into the fiscal accountability, operational performance, and customer service needs of ambulance service users.

Dixon has provided direct oversight or support to many “911” EMS and General Transport systems throughout the southeast U.S. including: Fulton County, GA, Augusta/Richmond County, GA, Cobb County, GA, Jefferson County, GA, Greene County, GA, Brooks County, GA, Long County, GA, Orlando/Orange County, FL, Gaffney, SC, Santa Rosa County, FL, Gadsden, AL, Montgomery, AL, Gulf Shores, AL, Knox County, TN, Blount County, TN, Shelby County, TN, and Tunica, MS. In addition to the “911” EMS systems above, Dixon has provided direct oversight or support for over thirty-five (35) non-emergency operations throughout a fourteen (14) state region during his 9-year tenure with Rural/Metro.

Dixon holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Brenau University and an undergraduate business degree from North Georgia College in Business with emphasis on Strategic Management. He participates in many EMS, civic and public-safety related organizations.
