Amerimed Wellness can provide care for chronic health issues such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, medication refills, etc. We are also able to care for acute illnesses such as upper respiratory infections, uninary tract infections, or other non-emergency issues. Preventative care such as annual check-ups are also available.

Why was Amerimed Wellness created?
Amerimed Wellness was created to improve the ease of access to quality medical care for all employees of Amerimed.
What services does Amerimed Wellness provide to our employees?
Amerimed Wellness provides telehealth visits in real-time with a nurse practitioner. These visits can include primary care, routine wellness visits, and non-emergent sick visits.
Who is eligible to utilize Amerimed Wellness?
Current Amerimed employees who receive benefits from Amerimed are eligible for the Amerimed Wellness service. A covered spouse and dependents over 18years of age are also eligible. If the employee has a different insurance plan/product that we are in-network with, Amerimed Wellness is also available. Are spouses and family members eligible to receive services from Amerimed Wellness?
Yes. As long as the spouse and/or adult dependents over 18 are on your current eligible insurance plan, they can utilize Amerimed Wellness services.
What types of health issues can Amerimed Wellness help me with?
Amerimed Wellness can treat a myriad of issues and illnesses. Amerimed Wellness is able to care for chronic health issues such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, medication refills, etc. We are also able to care for acute illnesses such as upper respiratory infections and urinary tract infections. Preventative care such as annual checkups are also a service we provide.
Are there areas of health than cannot be covered through the Amerimed Wellness session? (Behavioral health, etc)
All aspects of patient care are able to be covered through our NPs via Amerimed Wellness. Behavioral health is a medical issue and is treated as such. Additionally, confidentiality of employees who utilize Amerimed Wellness will be upheld to the highest standards and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
What if my situation is considered an “emergency?”
Amerimed Wellness does not provide emergency services. If you or a loved one is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
Is this part of our company insurance plan?
This is a service offered in addition to the company insurance plan; however, it is only offered to employees who participate in company health insurance, or other plans that we are “in-network” with.
Is there any out-of-pocket cost to the employee?
Out-of-pocket costs are waived for Associates on our health plan, but Associates responsible for any deductibles. For spouses and other adult family member dependents that are on plans in-network, they would be responsible for co-pays and deductibles.

Are the appointments only virtual, or there any way to be seen in-person?
At present, appointments through Amerimed Wellness are virtual. We may add an option for in-person services in the future.
Who will be seeing me for this visit?
Employees using Amerimed Wellness will be seen by a Nurse Practitioner who is an employee of Amerimed Mobile Integrated Healthcare.
Can I receive prescription medication(s) via Amerimed Wellness?
Yes.
Will I need to complete any forms or provide information like medical history prior to the visit?
Yes. Collection of this information is critical to providing safe and effective care to you.
Are there limits to how many visits I can use or how often I can utilize Amerimed Wellness?
At present, there are not any limits.
Do I have to be on a computer, or can I access AW through my phone or tablet?
Amerimed Wellness scheduling, visits, and our patient portal may be accessed through a computer, laptop, tablet, or smart phone.
Do I need any type of software to create any type of account to use Amerimed Wellness?
No downloads or software is needed.
What types of my personal health information will be retained, and who maintains those records?
Records pertinent to your medical care will be retained in keeping with HIPAA regulations within our EHR, AthenaOne.
Can information from an Amerimed Wellness visit be shared with my other doctors or health care providers?
Yes.
Can I access information about past visits, medical records, etc.?
Yes. Once you have initiated a visit with Amerimed Wellness, you will be invited to sign up for our Patient Portal. This allows you to access details regarding your past visits, prescriptions, lab results, imaging results, and other pertinent information. The portal also provides a simple and easy way to communicate with Amerimed Wellness staff.
